THE EXCHANGE

IN 1947 A UFO CRASHED IN ROSWELL, NEW MEXICO. THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT MADE CONTACT WITH A RACE OF ALIEN SURVIVORS OF THE CRASH, NOW KNOWN AS "EBENS". COMMUNICATIONS WERE ESTABLISHED, AND AN AGREEMENT WAS ARRANGED FOR A HUMAN-EBEN EXCHANGE PROGRAM. IN 1965, TWELVE MILITARY PERSONNEL WERE SENT TO A FOREIGN PLANET IN THE ZETA-RETICULI STAR SYSTEM DESIGNATED AS "SERPO". HUMANS LIVED FOR 13 YEARS ON SERPO. IN 1978, EIGHT MEMBERS OF THE ORIGINAL CREW OF TWELVE RETURNED TO EARTH. THE OPERATION WAS CLASSIFIED ABOVE TOP-SECRET. ALL TEAM MEMBERS WERE DECLARED DECEASED OR MISSING IN OFFICIAL RECORDS.

DEPARTURE

The team of 12 American military personnel (10 men, 2 women) was carefully selected and underwent extensive training.
Training included linguistics, medicine, engineering, and survival skills.
They boarded an Eben spacecraft that landed in the U.S. at an undisclosed military facility, possibly Nevada’s Area 51 or White Sands, New Mexico.
The spacecraft was completely alien in design, with no seats or typical controls, relying instead on organic or telepathic interfaces.
The departure was kept highly secret, with the team members declared deceased or missing in official U.S. records.

TRAVEL

The Eben spacecraft was described as oval or disc-shaped, with a highly reflective metallic surface.
The interior was said to be spacious, with a gravity-controlling environment that allowed movement without weightlessness.
The ship used a form of energy propulsion far beyond human technology, possibly zero-point energy or gravity wave manipulation.
The journey to Serpo allegedly took approximately 9 months, despite the distance being 39 light-years from Earth.
This suggests the Ebens had faster-than-light (FTL) travel or the ability to manipulate space-time through wormholes or dimensional shifting.

CONDITIONS

The human crew faced major physiological and psychological adjustments due to:

Unusual gravity shifts inside the spacecraft.
Lack of traditional food and water (they consumed alien food provided by the Ebens, which was difficult to digest at first).
Changes in circadian rhythms due to no day/night cycle on the ship.
Communication barriers—while the Ebens could understand some English, much of their communication was telepathic or symbolic.

ARRIVAL

After 9 months of travel, the spacecraft arrived at Serpo, the Ebens’ home planet in the Zeta Reticuli star system.
The landing was in an Eben settlement, where the U.S. team was welcomed in a grand ceremony.
The transition from Earth to Serpo was extremely difficult:
- The gravity on Serpo was slightly lower than Earth’s, making movements feel lighter.
- The atmosphere was breathable but contained higher radiation levels, which led to health issues over time.
- The planet had two suns, making the environment hotter and drier than Earth.
